The Puebla Convention Center has been settled on the buildings of
former textile factories. La Guía,
La Esperanza, La Mascota and La Pastora, preserving always the worth of its essence, restoring
its valuable elements and providing them with a new life that can
get along with the needs and requirements of modern life.
In one hectare, with a constructed area of 33 thousand m2, all details
have been carefully cherished, from the mixture of architectural
neoclassic and industrial styles, to the warmth of its antique walls
along with the functionallity of its facilities. Puebla,
far beyond the evident.
The Puebla Convention Center is the only one in the country that
is settled in the Historic Downtown, which is cultural patrimony
of humankind. It is integrated to the main turistic attractions of
the city, such as craftsmen, antiquarians, artists and the famous
poblano confectioners neighbourhoods.
It is also the only one to has been conceived within a whole cultural,
turistic and commercial integral development project. But its also
the only one conceived from the ransom, restoration and revitalization
of historical and artistic worth buildings, a development that reaches
the perfect balance between the cultural and commercial, the modern
and the antique, the beautiful and functional. Doubtlessly it is
the most impressive work of rescue and revitalization of any Historic
Downtown that we could meet in all Mexico.

Tips
In restaurants we suggest to leave between 10% and 15% for good
service. IVA (regular tax) is 15% , please don´t become confused
with tips. In Puebla there is an additional tax of 2% of lodging,
if you are already paying a rack rate for your lodging, then this
tax is already paid, conventions and congresses are tax free (IVA).
We suggest you to give $1.00 usd to the bellboy or its equivalent
in pesos for each bulk, and $1.00 usd or its equivalent for the
room maid for each night. Taxidrivers don´t expect any tip
for a regular travel, but if you hire them for several hours, and
the taxidriver will handle the luggage, it is recommendable to
give something for the service. Don´t forget to tip your
guides!, it is also common to tip for cleaning the bathroom, and
the parking staff in hotels and restaurantes.
