Returning to Hahnemann

Mexico, millennial country, home of grate humankind cultures such as the Toltecs, Cholultecs, Aztecs and Mayas, rich in natural resources as well as in a great variety of ecological systems, a country of traditional customs, culture, architecture, gastronomy, and so many things, famous for its hospitality and the kindness of its weather.

A country which transcended in history of homeopathic medicine due to the fact that it is the first country in the world to give hoemopathy the category of medical science, since the presidential decree of General Porfirio Díaz, in August 10th, 1895, in which it was acknowledged the Homeopathic National Hospital and the National School of Homeopathic Medicine, as the first authorized institutions in the whole world.

A generous country in contributing with knowledge, and birthplace of three great masters of universal homeopathy, Joaquín Segura y Pesado, founder of the two formerly mentioned institutions, Higinio G. Pérez, founder of the Escuela Libre de Homeopatía de México, and considered as the apostle of homeopathic medicine in Mexico, and our dear professor, Proceso Sánchez Ortega, who recently died and who continued the Hahnemannian thinking in the study and clinic of chronic diseases among others.

A country which is always participating in activities of the Liga and in the study of Homeopathy, head office of its congresses since the III congress carried out in Mexico City in 1929, the XXXV Congress, took place in the Acapulco Port in 1980 and the Liga Congress, carried out in the city of Oaxaca in 1995. All of them succesfull and happily reminded.

The City which was selected for the LXII Congress continues with this tradition and it is also important in the history of mexican homeopathy, because since January 9th, 1879, it is authorized by the state government its legal practice.

Puebla de los Angeles is a city proclaimed to be cultural patrimony of humankind, which holds among other things one of the biggest pyramid in the world, its base is bigger than the Keops pyramid in Egypt, also holds one of the smallest volcanoes with only 11 mts. tall, as well as one of the most important thematic park in the American Continent. It offers a wide view of the prehispanic, colonial and contemporary culture. It is said that angels were the ones to traced the streets in Puebla. It is located in the middle of the country, just three hours by car to reach the city of Oaxaca, famous for its archeology and its folklore, and the Veracruz port, a traditional and turistic place and only 2 hours by car from Mexico City, capital of Mexico.

The modern conventions center, is located in the place which was formerly downtown of de city, it offers the best and current to perform this kind of international events, combining antique and modern, tradition and vanguard, all of these with a great functionality and comfort to everyone.
Which could be a better place to welcome the assitants of the LXII Congress of the Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis?

It is for me a great honour to invite the members of the Liga, as well as all homeopathic professional colleagues of the globe to participate in this study meeting, sharing experiences, friendship and knowledge as we do every year somewhere in the world.

This event has been carefully planned to offer the congressmen a whole lot of activities for these five days of intense work along with parallel sessions which will include homeopathic odontology, pharmacy and veterinary forums as well as the VII Latinamerican Congress of Medical Matters amog others.

Invited lecturers belong to the maximum exponents of worldclass homeopathy, offering new contributions to our medical art.

The social program has been also elaborated to provide visitors with the best of mesoamerican antique cultures, and of the colonial and contemporary world. Also, we offer optional choices that include golf tournaments, traditional excursions, ecological turism, a view to a town (Coetzalan) which is embedded in the mountain and which combines the prehispanic with the colonial in a unique manner, and we will also include extreme sports.

Homeopatía de México A.C. as the organizer institution and us, as colleagues and brothers in the divine art of healing, are waiting for you with open arms.
Come to Mexico, come to Puebla.
